Delving Into The Past:
Several years ago, I decided I wanted to shoot a collection of old barns, farmhouses, tobacco drying houses, and various other old buildings and vehicles that provided a glimpse into the history of rural Johnson County, North Carolina. Sadly, having not acted upon this instinct sooner, several buildings standing five years ago are now gone. So, after allowing this to happen, I decided to get out and shoot the remaining structures around the township of Archer Lodge in North Carolina—before it was too late.
I couldn't decide whether I wanted this project in black and white or color; I liked elements in both aspects... so I decided upon a 50-50 blend between the two, producing an unusual feel to the images.
